THAI FOOD!!!!

Well, these are the pictures for the second school we visited. As usual, we taught the kids the same songs and some new games. The kids were quick learners and we were delighted to teach them all the tricks. We presented prizes of stationaries and chocolate to the winners of each game and we could sense their excitement and joy.

The children really enjoyed themselves as I could hear their squeals of laughter. Before we had lunch with the teachers and directors of the school (In Singapore, they are known as principals whereas in Thailand, it is directors), some students put up a performance for us using hoola hoops. A girl presented me with a rose and asked me for my contact number. Hoards of kids also requested for my autograph. Looks like I am a superstar to them. We left the place with memories we shall never forget. I am looking forward to visiting Chongkat school again this year.

2nd School (Laut School)

Playing 'Musical Chairs'

Handing out balloons to the students in Laut school

Here are the photos of the third school visit. Our group (consisting of my father, Anant, Wirote and I) took the Kindergarten 1 and 2 kids so we prepared some balloons for them to play. The game went something like this, the kids tied a balloon around their ankles and tried to step and burst each other's balloon. The last one with the balloon wins the game. We also played musical chairs with the kids. You could see the agility and excellent reflexes of the children. All the children participated eagerly and it was really a joy to engage them in such fun activities.

Mud parade square

Today, we went to a government-funded school which had better facilities than the other schools. Their parade square is tiled unlike the other schools which had mud flooring. As usual, our group (my father, Anant, Wirote and myself) took the youngest level, the Kindergarten 1 and 2. This time, we did not teach them any songs or played any games. Instead, we held a mini colouring competition to see which child could colour the best. All of them could colour very well and we were impressed. They were just as good as our local students of that age.
